Health services, accommodation, provision for worship, sport and a Student Centre are established under the Academic Brief, each within a phase of development and under a designated officer of the University.
Health services for students, staff and the host community.
The Health Centre was established at takeoff in Phase 1 and serves students, staff and members of the immediate community. Consultation is free for staff and students, and medication is subsidised by the University.
Round-the-clock service
The Centre offers round-the-clock service, with a complement of nursing and related health personnel on duty.
Ambulance cover
Ambulance services are provided for emergency pick-up, with referral to the University Teaching Hospital.
Beds on site
The Centre makes provision for hospital beds for observation and short admissions.
Stocked pharmacy
A well-stocked pharmacy, with medication subsidised by the University for staff and students.

An assembling point for all students of the University, offering various services at affordable rates.
Catering services
Catering services are provided to the University community and outsourced to professional catering firms.
Place of worship
Provision is made for worship on campus, within reach of teaching and residential areas.
Sport and recreation
Football, basketball and athletics are provided in Phase 1, and lawn tennis, hockey and indoor sports in Phase 2, under a qualified Sports Coordinator.
Accommodation
Student welfare and accommodation are the responsibility of the Dean of Student Affairs. Allocation procedures and hostel regulations are published each session on the University portal.
Counselling and guidance
Counselling and guidance services, and support for student clubs and societies, are coordinated by the Student Affairs Division, alongside a Security Unit and banking services on campus.
Enterprise and industrial training
Entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship Development Centre provides practical entrepreneurial skills from the commencement of study, in line with NUC requirements, so that graduates are resourceful and self-reliant.
Industrial training
The SIWES Unit coordinates industrial training placements. In several programmes the placement constitutes a requirement for graduation.
