Assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders across the lifespan — a discipline with almost no trained supply in Northern Nigeria.
Disease prevention, health promotion and population-level intervention, taught with field epidemiology and health policy practice.
Nutrition science, clinical dietetics and food service management, aimed squarely at Nigeria's double burden of undernutrition and diet-related disease.
Water, sanitation, vector control and occupational safety — the practical work of preventing disease before it reaches a clinic.
Physics applied to diagnosis and treatment: imaging, radiation therapy, dosimetry and the safe operation of medical instrumentation.
Molecular biology and bioprocessing directed at diagnostics, vaccines and therapeutics, with laboratory work from the first year.
